Troubleshooting of drainage pumps

Dec 07, 2024

1. No water comes out after starting: there is air in the pump or air accumulates in the water inlet pipe, or the bottom valve is not closed tightly and the water is not fully filled, the vacuum pump packing is seriously leaking, and the gate valve or flap door is not closed tightly.
Troubleshooting: remove debris, replace the damaged rubber pad, change the direction of the valve plate; tighten or replace the new packing, close the gate valve or flap door; increase the filling volume until there is no bubble at the vent screw plug; replace the cracked pipe; reduce the head and press the water pump nozzle into the water 0.5 meters.
2. The pump does not turn when starting: the packing is too tight or the impeller and the pump body are stuck and blocked by debris, or the pump shaft, bearing, leakage reduction ring are rusted, or the pump shaft is seriously bent.
Troubleshooting: loosen the packing, dredge the water tank; disassemble the pump body to remove debris and rust; remove the pump shaft for correction or replace a new pump shaft.
3. Damage to the heating bearing of the water pump: the gap between the rolling bearing or the bracket cover is too small; the pump shaft is bent or the two shafts are not concentric; the tape is too tight; there is a lack of oil or the oil quality is poor; the balance hole on the impeller is blocked, the impeller loses balance, and the thrust to one side is increased.
Troubleshooting: Replace the bearing; remove the back cover, install a gasket between the bracket and the bearing seat; adjust the pump shaft or adjust the concentricity of the two shafts; loosen the tape tightness appropriately; add clean butter, the butter accounts for 60% of the gap in the bearing; remove the blockage in the balance hole.
4. Insufficient flow after starting: the speed is not matched or the belt slips, making the speed low; the axial flow pump blade installation angle is too small; the lift is insufficient; the suction head is high; the bottom valve, pipeline and impeller are partially blocked or the impeller is defective; the outlet pipe leaks seriously.
Troubleshooting: Restore rated speed, clean belt grease, and adjust belt tightness; adjust blade angle, and lower water pump installation position; seal water pump leaks, and tighten packing; remove blockages, and replace impellers; replace leakage reducing rings, and block leaks.
